BONEFISHING AT ITS FINEST

Happy New Year!

January 4, 2009

Everything is looking great for another year of fishing on South.  Things are getting put back together from the storm in September.  The plants are starting to grow back and lose their wind-whipped look.  The fish have seemed to have gotten fatter and more plentiful as our first groups took a sampling.  Most noticed greater numbers of larger fish than they had experienced on their previous trips during the same time slots.  I think that the fish pigged out on all the food uncovered from Ike moving bottom around.  My family and I fished in November and had some of the most classic setups that bonefishing offers.  Slack-wind afternoons with the sun dropping down toward the horizon and tailing fish as far as the eye could see.  My youngest son getting his first 10lb.+ fish on the fly.  Everything is still as good as it gets in this corner of the world. All of us will be awaiting your arrival and giving you the best experience you can have on the flats that we know of.  We are still the only boat fishing here and hopefully the developers will lose their steam with the flattening world economy.  It is only a matter of time, though, before our little secret gets taken advantage of.  Hope you get here this year.  We will be waiting for you......and so will the fish!!!!!!
See you soon.  Bibo.
